Self Provided The Tunes At The Star Studded Closing Party For The Pulitzer Winning Top Dog Under Dog (Which Starred Mos And Jeffery Wright),Was The Tour DJ In 2002-2003 For Mos’s Black Jack Johnson And Got The Crowd Going When Mos Hosted MTV2’s Hampton’s Party In 2003.

Few Years Ago, A Magazine Writer Asked SELF “You Have The Clubs On Lock, What’s Next?” SELF Responded “I Need To Be On That Box” (Referring To Radio). So DJ SELF Set On A Mission To Become A Mixshow DJ On One Of NYC’s Top Radio Stations – The Mecca Of Hip Hop.
Being A DJ Of The People And Aware Of The Politics Such A Move Would Take, SELF Started His Campaign In The Very Same Nightclubs And Streets That Helped Him Endure The Fame He Presently Obtained. Although His Ultimate Goal Would Not Come Easy – The Emergence Of Satellite Radio Landed SELF His Very Own Mixshow On Sirius Satellite’s Hip-Hop Nation Ch-40 Coined “VIP Saturdays” 10pm-12pm. After Receiving Great Ratings With His Show Over Couple Years – SELF Was Able To Prove Not Only Was He A Hot Club DJ, But Was Just As Captivating On The Airwaves. An Economical Move Causing The Merger Of Sirius And XM Satellite Stations Left SELF Show In Limbo, But Was Short Lived As Eminem Quickly Decided Not Only To Add “VIP Saturdays” To Shade 45 But To Extend The Show An Extra Hour, Now Saturdays 10pm-1am.
Shortly There After A Radio Station Came Looking For The Next Big Thing – Being A DJ That Had NYC Clubs On Lock And Credible Track Record On The Airwaves, SELF Was The Solution. DJ SELF “The Prince Of NY” Joined The Family Of WWPR Power 105.1 Mixshow DJ’s In November 2008. Listeners Can Hear Him Live On Fridays 10pm-12pm And Saturdays 6pm-10pm.
